I recently took a 2 month Front-End Web Development course from General Assembly to expand my basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and Javascript.

In this course, I learned how to use:

  • Flexbox

  • CSS Grid

  • Create a responsive design

  • Bootstrap

  • DOM manipulation

  • Conditional statements

  • Arrays and loops

  • Add forms

  • API requests

My final project for the class was to create my own application that could be response on mobile/tablet/desktop and include pieces of we’ve learned within the class. I decided to create an application on finding boba shops within certain areas of Boston and being able to filter through boba specific options. When time allows, I plan to continue exploring potential options to be able to venture through all of Boston, without hardcoding any of the filter selections.
